What is it about me that makes people think I’m such a slacker? I think, over the last 2 or 3 school terms, I’ve been working harder than I ever have in my university career, yet people still think I never do any work. I was studying at the library a couple weeks ago, and I ran into one of my roommate’s ex there. She seemed kinda surprised that I was taking 3 arts courses, and I told her it was cuz I was taking OS, which is really hard, so I need to spend as much time as I can working on it, and she just kinda rolled her eyes and said “mmm hmmmmm….”
Then just last week, my landlord came by to drop off some bills, and when I answered the door, he was like “Hey, you don’t have to go to school?”, cuz I think every time he’s come by so far, it’s always been me answering the door.
And one of my housemates this term, who’s only known me since last term, thinks that all I do is play video games, foosball, watch TV, and sleep. I was talking with her and one of my other housemates earlier this term, and she was joking about how if she had known CS was gonna be this easy, she woulda gone into it.
I don’t get it…ah well, as long as I get my degree I’ll be happy.
Oh, and Team Canada won last night! We’re going to the gold medal game. Belarus in the semis? Pleeeeeeease. They fluked their win over Sweden, I predict a 4-1 win for Canada!
And I’ve finally added new pictures to my photo gallery (the link is on the side of the page). I downloaded PowerToys for Windows XP, and it has a handy HTML slideshow generator, so now I don’t have to type up all the HTML files myself (heh I guess I am just a little bit lazy)
