So I presented my informative speech on how to play foosball last Thursday, and it went sorta ok. I was the third person (out of 4) to present that day, and during the first 2 speeches, I couldn't focus at all on what the speakers were saying. All I could think about was how nervous I was, and I kept going over my speech in my head.

When it was finally my turn to go, I started off pretty well, but after the first 30 seconds or so, I started getting dry mouth, and I felt the butterflies in my stomach getting stronger and stronger. After I finally finished the speech, the whole class got to watch the video of it. I noticed that I moved my hands a lot, and I mean A LOT, when I was explaining stuff, it was like I had to use my hands to push the words out of my mouth or something. And I also noticed that my voice quieted down a lot from the beginning, even tho I thought I was speaking at an audible level the whole time.

I don't know why I get like that for speeches, at work, whenever I have to give presentations, I'm usually fine, I don't feel nervous at all, and I think that's because I feel very comfortable with whatever I'm presenting. Which doesn't really make any sense cuz I like to talk about foosball, and I've explained how to play foosball to many people before, so I don't know why I got so nervous on Thursday...arrrgh..
